Right fielder Jeromy Burnitz went yard and had 2 RBI at the ballpark as the
Dyersville Jurassics won a thriller over the Caracas Leones in, 6 to
5.
Dyersville scored the deciding run in the 9th inning. Luis A. Gonzalez laced
a base-knock. Jeremy Reed stepped up next and he drew a walk. Justin
Morneau then doubled giving Dyersville the win much to the delight of the
home town crowd. Dyersville out-hit Caracas for the game, 12 hits to 9.
The win was credited to Brian Meadows(1-1) who went 2 innings allowing no
runs. Scot Shields(4-1) was the loser in relief. He allowed 2 hits and 1
walk in 2/3 of an inning.
